It all started with my three German Shepherds—rescues with their own quirks, histories, and fears. Their stress can mirror our own, just as their joy lifts our spirits. The simple act of stroking a dog’s fur, watching them relax, or seeing their excitement when I come home has a measurable effect on my own mental well-being.
